The permit does not come with the keys.
Ameren wants the new owner to transfer the dock permit. In the Lake Ozark, Osage Beach, Sunrise Beach, Mid County, Rocky Mount, and Northwest fire districts, the electrical inspection has to have been approved within the previous 12 months. If the dock itself moves to another parcel, that is a new permit, not a transfer.

No. This is a referral service. The request goes to one independent Ameren-certified dock builder. We are not that builder, and we are not affiliated with Ameren Missouri.
What does a useful request include?
The project, the boat or the existing dock, the town, the cove or mile marker, whether a permit is already on file, and how soon you want the work. Photos help and are optional.
What if I just bought the house?
The dock permit stays with the parcel. Ameren lists a $100 transfer. In six named fire districts, the dock’s electrical inspection has to have been approved within the previous 12 months. The buying guide walks through that checklist.
